THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR (Signed CD)

THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR (Signed CD)

Released in August 2009 on CD and digital, THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR was my first solo album.

Featuring myself on piano, it also includes members of The Hallé Orchestra, and Grammy-winning musician Davy Spillane.

MUSO magazine called it "Contemporary, intricate and haunting", whilst influential blog THE SILENT BALLET said "Jay successfully crafts an album of great instrumental dexterity and narrative prowess that should easily enchant admirers of the genre. Recommended for fans of Max Richter, Ludovico Einaudi, and Olafur Arnalds".

Includes digital download (FLAC, MP3 & 2496 WAV)

A positive from social media ( I know I wouldn't thought it either ! ).

Having grown up through the heady days of glam rock, prog rock, rock rock ( before the term metal was used), disco, punk, new romantic, electronica ( excluding Eno and german stuff) I settled to listening to the likes of Max Richter, Craig Armstrong, Olafur Arnalds, these guys provided the sonic landscapes that lightened my Darwinian disillusionment of life at sixty, then via facebook !!!! Richard Anthony Jay appeared over the horizon, so with fingers crossed ...if you've ever shopped on Amazon, Temu or Shein I'm sure you will understand, I dutifully sent of the money and low and behold two quality (looking) CD's appeared, retreated into my man cave ( still painted pink/purple and still ex toyroom ) and gave them an airing.....two weeks down the line still playing them in car, walking the dog, lying in bed staring at the ceiling, in short (?) both are fantastic pieces of music, airy modern ( very English ) ethereal but contemporary compositions.....ad makers, movie makers please take note you will thank me later !
